Who we are

Andy
Technical Manager
After school Andy gained a ND in art and design followed by a HND in photography. He then spent over 25 years as a technician in Nikon's NPS department, and more recently as a CPS engineer at Canon. Andy downed tools in 2023 and brings a wealth of technical experience to team LFH, where he manages our ever-growing arsenal of kit. Away from work, he loves family time and sport - tennis being his first choice. Andy often needs reminding he is very far from being in his twenties!
Did You Know?
In his younger days Andy used to model for a photo story magazine!
Richie
Managing Director
Richie likes to keep life as simple as possible, which is etched into the design of our website. He also doesn't like to believe that everything at LFH is his responsibility! Richie is a man of simple pleasures and enjoys mowing (perfectly straight) stripes into his lawn whilst enjoying a nice cold beer. Oh, and watching the F1! He's a child at heart and spends most of his spare time with wife Grace and son Archie. He also enjoys badminton, karting, fossil hunting, scuba diving and cycling.
Did You Know?
Richie has a T-Rex in his kitchen (ask him and he'll prove it to you!). He also has an alarming number of Pokemon cards.
Stewart
Founder
Stewart founded Lenses for Hire in 2008 when he wanted a big lens to photograph polar bears without getting up close and personal. He built a website and started operations from his spare room, but when it got to the stage where even the sofa was piled with lenses he moved it into our current offices in Maidenhead. He oversaw the growth of the business for the next 12 years until 2020 when Richie offered to buy him out. With the future of the business secured, he's looking forward to spending more time hiking, rowing, cooking, and pandering to his cat.
