Privacy Policy
We will never sell or trade any of your personal information which you
have provided to us via our web site or any other communications channel.
But there are a number of situations in which we share information with
other organisations. Here’s a list of them.
-
Payment:
When you place an order on our web site, the payment is handled by the
Secure Trading gateway. This captures your name, address, email address,
payment card details, and the value of your transaction. These data are
used to check your identity, your address, and the validity of your
payment card – via communication with your card issuer and other
industry-wide databases - prior to the authorisation of the purchase transaction.
-
Insurance:
Our insurers are Imaging Insurance and the premiums we pay are partly
based on how much stuff we hire out. So we routinely provide them with
a list of all our hires, including your name and address, and details of
what you’ve hired. If you have reason to make a claim on the insurance
then we may provide them with any and all information about you which we
hold, so that they can assess the claim. They may in turn pass this on
to their legal advisers, law enforcement agencies, etc. if they feel it
is appropriate.
-
Delivery:
We rely on a number of delivery companies in order to get equipment into
your hands and back to us. These include JCA Couriers, UK Mail, DPD,
City Link and Royal Mail. Obviously we have to provide them with your
name and address, and contact details such as email address and/or phone
number, in order to facilitate their deliveries.
-
Debt collection:
If you get into a situation where you owe us money (e.g. for damage to
equipment you hired) and don’t pay it in a timely fashion, we may refer
you to our debt collection agents Cremanass. In order to help them
collect the debt, we may provide them with any and all information about
you which we hold. They may in turn pass this on to their legal advisers
and/or officers of the court when necessary.
-
Breach of contract:
If you commit a serious breach of contract then we may share any and
all information about you which we hold with our solicitors, Fitz, and
any relevant law enforcement agencies. We might also wish to recommend
to other hire companies that they exercise caution in dealing with you,
and in this case we would provide them with your name, address and
contact details.
