This lens, introduced in late 2016, is the successor to Canon's hugely popular 24-105mm f/4 L IS, which I suppose we'll have to start calling the Mk I version now.
We predict this one will be equally popular. It offers a big step up in image quality, to keep up with the latest high-megapixel cameras, and improved Image Stabilization. It's a great "walkaround" lens on full frame cameras such as the 6D, 5D Mk III and 5D Mk IV.
